Terms of use

The short version: DFW Slab is a directory, not a contractor. The company information here is compiled from public sources and offered as a starting point, not as advice or a guarantee. Check anything that matters directly with the company before you hire them, and use this site at your own risk.

What this site is

DFW Slab (DFW Slab Foundation Directory) is an independently run directory of foundation repair companies across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. It exists to help a homeowner find and compare companies. That is all it does.

By using dfwslab.com you’re agreeing to what’s on this page. If you don’t agree with it, please don’t use the site.

We are not a contractor

We do not perform inspections, repairs, or any other work on your property. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a company you find here, and we don’t supervise, employ, control, or guarantee the companies listed.

If you hire someone, the contract, the price, the schedule, the workmanship, and the warranty are between you and them. Anything that goes wrong with the work is resolved with them, not with us.

Where the information comes from

Listings are compiled from public Google Business Profile data and reviewed by hand before they go live. Ratings and review counts belong to Google, are shown with the date they were captured, and are not our assessment of anyone’s work. Data goes out of date: a company can change its phone number, move, close, or see its rating shift long before we capture it again.

We don’t verify licensing or insurance. Texas requires no state license for foundation repair, so there is no license number to check in the first place — confirm insurance and any credential a company claims directly with them. How listings are sourced, reviewed, and ordered is written out on how it works.

Nothing on this site is engineering, structural, legal, or financial advice. Foundation problems are property-specific; a page here is not a substitute for a qualified professional looking at your house.

No warranty, and your own risk

The site and everything on it are provided “as is.” We don’t warrant that the information is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose, and we don’t warrant that the site will be available or error-free. We correct mistakes when we learn about them — see below — but we can’t promise there aren’t any.

You use the site, and act on what you read here, at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, DFW Slab is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from information on it being wrong or out of date, or from your dealings with any company listed here.

Some places don’t allow certain limitations like these. Where that’s the case, the limitation applies as far as it legally can and no further.

Requests you send us

When you send an assessment request, we may pass your details to one or more listed companies that cover your area so they can contact you. Submitting a request doesn’t create a contract with us or with anyone else, doesn’t obligate you to hire anybody, and doesn’t obligate any company to contact you. Send accurate information about a real property you’re responsible for; the form isn’t for anything else.

What we collect and where it goes is set out in the privacy policy.

Links to other sites

Listings link out to companies’ own websites and Google profiles. Those sites aren’t ours, we don’t control them, and a link isn’t an endorsement or a vouch for anything they say.

Using the site fairly

Read it, search it, link to it, quote it — all fine. What we ask you not to do: bulk-copy the directory to republish it as your own, hammer the site with automated requests, misuse the forms for spam or for anything untrue, or interfere with how the site works for other people.

Corrections, claims, and removal

If you own a listed business and something is wrong — or you’d rather not be listed at all — email info@dfwslab.com. We’ll ask you to show you control the business before applying changes, and we honor removal requests. We may also add, change, or remove any listing or page ourselves at any time.

Changes to these terms

The directory is early and how it works will change — how assessment requests get routed in particular. When these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated version applies.

Questions about these terms: info@dfwslab.com. See also the privacy policy and how listings are sourced and ordered.
