About DFW Slab

One person. DFW Slab is solo-owned and solo-operated — I compile the listings, review every one of them before it publishes, and answer the email myself. There is no sales team, no call center, and no “editorial board.” When the rest of the site says “we,” it’s still just me.

That matters for how you should read this directory. A one-person operation can look closely at a few hundred businesses in one metro area. It cannot audit them. What I do and don’t check is spelled out below, in plain terms, so you can decide how much weight to give what you find here.

It is a curated directory. Every company here is a real business with a public Google Business Profile that I’ve looked at individually before publishing.

It isn’t a contractor. DFW Slab does not perform foundation work, does not employ crews, does not quote prices, and does not stand behind anyone else’s work. The repairs are done by the independent companies listed here, under their own contracts with you.

It also isn’t a review site. The ratings you see are Google’s, shown with the date they were captured and attributed to Google — never restated as my opinion of a company. I don’t write reviews of contractors, and I don’t collect them.

Listings are compiled from public Google Business Profile data, then reviewed by hand — one person, every listing — before they go live.

The pipeline is deliberately boring: public Google Business Profile data is captured in a batch (the current set was captured in August 2026), normalized into a consistent shape, and then read one listing at a time before anything goes live. That review pass is where permanently closed businesses, out-of-category records, and service tags the source data doesn’t actually support get removed.

A hand review is not a background check, and calling something “reviewed” would be worthless if I didn’t tell you where that review stops. It stops here:

• Licensing and insurance. Texas requires no state license for foundation repair, and DFW Slab does not verify licensing or insurance. Confirm both directly with any company before you hire.
• Work quality. I have not been to these job sites. No company on this directory has been inspected, interviewed, or vetted for workmanship by me.
• Current details. Phone numbers, hours, and ratings come from a dated capture of public data. A business can change any of them the day after. Ratings and review counts are shown with their capture date for exactly this reason.
• Warranties, financing, and pricing. None of it is published here unless a company’s own public data states it. Ask each company directly.

No listing on this site carries a “verified,” “licensed,” or “insured” badge, because no such check has been performed. If that ever changes, the badge will say what was checked and when.

City and service pages are ordered by Google rating weighted by review volume — a strong rating backed by more reviews ranks higher. No company can pay for position, and there are no paid placements on the site today.

Listing tiers exist in the code and are visible on the pro page, but the paid ones aren’t for sale — being listed is free and nobody has paid to be here. The lead-routing model behind the assessment form isn’t settled yet either. When it is, it gets published on how it works before it goes into effect, and any paid placement will be labeled where it appears.

If you own or work at a company listed here and something is wrong — the phone number, the service area, the categories, the fact that you’re listed at all — email me and I’ll fix or remove it. I’ll ask you to show you control the business before I apply a change, and I honor removal requests.

Homeowners: if a listed company is out of business, unreachable, or the listing is misleading, tell me. That’s the fastest way this directory gets more accurate.
