Privacy policy

DFW Slab (DFW Slab Foundation Directory) is an independently run directory of foundation repair companies in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. We are not a contractor and we do not perform repairs. This policy covers dfwslab.com and nothing else — the companies listed here, and any site you reach by clicking through to them, have their own privacy practices that we don’t control.

The assessment request form. When you request a foundation assessment, we collect:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• The property address or ZIP code you need looked at
• Optionally, a description of what you’re seeing

That’s the entire form. We deliberately don’t ask for an email address, and we never ask for financial, payment, or identity-document information anywhere on this site.

The pro inquiry form. If you’re a contractor contacting us through the pro page, we collect your business name, contact name, email address, phone number, the reason you’re writing, and any message you add.

Attribution. With either form we also record which page on this site you submitted from and which page you came from — for example, that a request came in from the Plano city page. That’s about the site, not about you, and it’s attached to the email so we know which page produced the request.

No accounts. There’s nothing to sign up for here, so there are no usernames, passwords, or profiles.

Your details go to DFW Slab and may be shared with listed companies to connect you. We don't sell your information.

In practice: your submission is emailed to us at info@dfwslab.com using Resend, an email delivery service, and it lands in an inbox read by the person who runs the directory. From there, an assessment request may be passed to one or more listed companies that cover your area so they can contact you about the work. That’s the point of the form.

We do not:

• Sell your information to anyone, for any purpose
• Add you to a marketing list or newsletter
• Send your details to a lead broker or data aggregator
• Share pro inquiries with other listed companies — a contractor writing to us is not a lead, and isn’t treated like one

Once a company has your details, its own privacy practices apply to what it does with them. If you’d rather not go through us at all, every profile in the directory shows the company’s own phone number so you can call them directly.

The forms are protected by boring, privacy-cheap measures: a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in, a check that the form wasn’t submitted impossibly fast, and a limit on how many submissions can come from one internet connection in a short window.

That last one uses your IP address, briefly and in memory, purely to count requests. It isn’t stored alongside your submission, and it isn’t written to our logs. When a submission is rejected, our server records only the reason — never what you typed.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. It loads on every page and sets cookies in your browser. It collects the usual analytics data: pages viewed, roughly how long you stayed, the link or search that brought you here, your device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.

What it does not collect is anything you type into our forms. Names, phone numbers, addresses, and messages are never sent to analytics — they go to email and nowhere else.

We also switch off Google’s advertising features on the tag: no Google Signals, and no ad-personalization signals. This site doesn’t advertise or run remarketing, so nothing you do here is sent to Google’s ads systems to follow you around.

We don’t currently show a cookie banner, so if you’d rather not be measured, the reliable options are Google’s own opt-out browser add-on, your browser’s tracking protection, or any content blocker. Any of them will stop the analytics tag from loading; the site works fine without it.

Other requests your browser makes. Our pages load a font from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request (including your IP address) as part of serving it. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of requests to the site, which is how any web server works.

The company information published here — names, phone numbers, websites, cities, service categories, Google ratings and review counts — is compiled from public Google Business Profile data and shown with the date it was captured. It is business contact information, not personal information about a private individual.

We suppress street addresses and precise coordinates by default, because many foundation companies operate out of a home and publishing that would expose a residence. If you own a listed business and want a correction or a full removal, email info@dfwslab.com. We’ll ask you to show you control the business before applying changes, and we honor removal requests.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@dfwslab.com from the request you sent, or tell us the phone number you submitted, and we’ll find it and reply. There’s no form and no account to log into.

One limit worth being straight about: if your request has already been passed to a listed company, we can delete our copy but we can’t delete theirs. Contact them directly for that.

If a company contacts you and you’d rather they didn’t, ask them to stop — and tell us, so we can stop sending requests their way.

This site is for homeowners and contractors. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child submitted something, email us and we’ll delete it.

The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Submissions live in an email inbox rather than a database, which keeps the amount of stored personal data small. No system is perfectly secure, and we won’t claim otherwise.

The directory is early and things will change — the way assessment requests get routed to companies in particular. When a change affects what we collect or where it goes, we’ll rewrite the affected section and update the date at the top of this page. We won’t quietly repurpose information you’ve already sent us under different terms.
